Congratulations to the Strathmore High School mixed curling team for winning the provincial championship March 1-3, 2018 in St. Albert. The team of John Damen (skip), Micayla Kooistra (third), Nick Slater (second), and Cheldynn Molnar (lead) went 3-1 in the round robin, then defeated Chinook High from Lethbridge in the semi-finals and won the gold medal game against Barrhead in an extra end. Coaches Mr. Steele and Mrs. Ledene are extremely proud of the curlers. This is the first provincial mixed curling title for SHS.
